A Vintage Ring and a Crazy Idea

Brooke is having one of her crazy ideas again.
Susan, a colleague is born in January. And Brooke wants to get a present for her.
We don't have the practice of getting birthday gifts for everybody and the reason Brooke wants to do this is because she has come across a vintage copper ring with a turquoise stone set in a Southwest designed ring
It is supposed to be in good condition albeit with plenty of patina and comes in size 6 which is the size Brooke wears.
Brooke is thinking of drawing up a backup plan:
If she doesn't like the ring than it will be presented to Susan as a birthday gift. And to reduce her commitment, Brooke ask if I will like to share the 'gift' if that is what the ring ended up to be.
This crazy woman. Just listening to her story makes my head spin. But Brooke is a good friend. I'll still give it some thought but not today.

I am looking around for a Christmas gift for Gabriella, preferably a piece of turquoise jewelry.
Gabriella is developing a fondness for this beautiful gem.
The necklace with a big piece of turquoise as pendant she's wearing these days is exceptionally beautiful.
I have come across this candidate that is an interesting match to that necklace.It is a sterling silver ring with an 24 mm x 10 mm Oblong Turquoise Cabochon on Adjustable Wide, Low Dome Band.
The only thing I am worried about is that whether it is going to be the same piece of turquoise and if a different piece with its own unique marking will match Gabriella's necklace as well.

I can certainly picture Kathy wearing a rose pink ring like these.
Kathy is the most lady-like among my friends. Frankly speaking, she used to get on my nerves.
Kathy is like someone that came straight out of a story book; all feminine, soft, gentle, nice, romantic... eek!
Not that these qualities are bad but sometimes you can have too much of a good thing like too much sweet can rot your teeth and give you diabetes.
Being around Kathy is like that, I feel like I am being overdosed.
But Kathy is also kind and good natured. I'll look past anything when people are kind and good.
What struck me as a good match between these rose pink rings and Kathy is first of all, pink and especially, rose pink.
Pink is right for Kathy and I guess she knows it too. She certainly wears a lot of it and carries it very well, something I don't think I'm able to.
It will be great when it's time to get a gift for Kathy and I can present her a rose pink ring.
